Escapism.

Posted on Sunday, October 28, 2012

This past week I feel like i've just been waiting for life to pass me by and something more interesting to come along. I can't wait for Europe at the end of the year! Traveling has this cleansing effect and I can't wait to spend some time with Justin, my boyfriend and coincidentally my best friend in the world too; and also to take beautiful pictures and just enjoy everything away from the real world.

For Flea Sake!

Posted on Friday, October 26, 2012

Hi guys! Meet my flea partner in crime, Melissa! It's been a while since I last flea-ed with For Flea Sake at *SCAPE, but we decided to do one for the sake of our exploding wardrobes and you could say, a need to liquidate our assets! I'd say it was pretty good in general, despite it raining like crazy at around 6pm and half our clothes getting drenched, but all in all i managed to earn the most money ever from a flea! We also had very useful help from Melissa's boyfriend, Hann Khee, who's much needed muscle power helped us to set up the clothes rack and get us some heavenly Gong cha.

If you'd like to read more of what Melissa has to say, you can visit her blog here!

Girls Night Out!

Posted on Thursday, October 25, 2012

So I haven't had a proper girl's night out with the lovely Jessica for a while, and we had a much needed catch up! I think we were both at a very complex and complicated stage of our lives and it's great to have that friend who knows exactly how you feel and you can say things like "RIGHT? Why doesn't anyone see it the way we do?" We ended up at Barossa for pizza and beer, even though i really wanted the Truffle Mac n Cheese at Overeasy but the place was way too crowded (2 hours for the next table???) but it was still a great place to chill because we sat there for forever and the staff never tried to chase us away!

We Braved the Rain

Posted on Saturday, October 20, 2012

So after hearing, seeing and reading much about the hype on Prive, I picked it as the place to use my special "birthday meal voucher" from Po, Os and Jess (and Josh)! It's definitely not the most convenient of places to be located, but the view was definitely worth it. We chose alfresco dining because it just rained, and it was nice to enjoy the afternoon next to the yachts and the harbor. So that was way long ago, and i only just got the film developed this week (at a horribly price of $10 a roll - JUST for developing!) Never ever go to Photo Hub to develop your film, guys. Funnily it occurred to me that I have a tendency to post process all my photos, even the film ones, which leads me to the question - why even use film then?

New Space, New Age

Posted on Friday, October 19, 2012

I supposed the best way to start this blog off would be my 21st, or I'd like to call it my "fake 21st" because it was held on July 28th instead of my actual birthday, which is on the 22nd of August. I would say that 2012 hasn't been the easiest year to turn 21, but seeing the many different groups of people whom have been part of my life take the time to show up for my party was a blessing :) I spent over a month planning it amidst many many other commitments I've had such as my internship, helping to organize this year's graduation night and what not. I think I did a pretty good job for my party - the theme was "Monica's Twen-tea-first. Punny, no? :) All decorations were handmade by me (yes, even the giant sign wishing myself a happy birthday)! Though all this couldn't have been done with the help of some lovely angels dropping by earlier than expected to help out. Perhaps I should consider being a party planner for fun - any takers?
