Some of my favourite shots from the CLINIQUE x THE ORDINARY CO campaign - super pleased with the results and how everything came together on the day. It's not often I have to manage so big a team (8 pairs of eyes staring at me at one point for instruction) but glad everything in my head came out exactly as planned! Sometimes you have all these ideas in your head that can't be fully expressed completely through a moodboard or words, so I can't stress how much easier it is to do a good job when you have the trust from your collaborating partners, in this case Jocelyn and the Clinique team and likewise can trust them back to organise everything on their end. Also, the extra pair of hands from Debra and Tim of Foxes Den was really a blessing on the day itself (steaming 3 sets of outfits for 3 girls was no joke, haha). Already planning for the next launch, but in the meantime...

Pave The Way Food Trail with Jaguar Land Rover

Another busy but fulfilling day tagging along for Jaguar Land Rover's Pave The Way Food Trail with 20 something strangers which is totally not daunting at all, haa! It's in collaboration with Singapore Fashion Week, and we were set to follow Ken Yuktasevi (co-founder of Grain Traders), along for his favourite food spots in Singapore.

Our first stop was -you guessed it - Grain Traders! I actually ate here on my own about a month ago, but it I have nothing against eating at the same place twice because then I get to try the options on the menu! Our orders were taken a few days before, so everything was served with cute wooden pegs with our names. After trying everything, I think the most outstanding topping to me is the Charred Furikake Corn (not pictured) - must order if you come!

Anyway, I tried to not eat all the carbs since we had two more stops to go but as you can see, I almost wiped my plate clean!


That's Cordelia above, she's one of the designated drivers for the day - we were all offered the chance to drive the Land / Range Rovers but I haven't driven since I got my Driver's License 8 whole years ago so I decided I wasn't going to risk it, especially not with such expensive cars, haa!


Anddd off we went in our rides for the day!


Car buddies Qiao Er and Rennie - ours was a Land Rover Discovery, but so jelly of the girls who got the Range Rover Evoque Convertible (the orange one)! How often does one get to drive around top down in Singapore?


Next stop - Camp Kilo! We were concerned because it was still drizzling, but everything was already pre-planned with fairy lights and long table - kind of those gorgeous outdoor set-ups you see on Pinterest boards that you can never do in Singapore... but this was right there in front of us! So cosy.


This is Ken, the man of the day, giving us a(nother) speech!


Out came a feast - as if we didn't already have a full meal just now - and everyone goes crazy with their phones! We had two whole roast pigs, ribs, roast pork, garlic prawns (the best!), grilled corn, corn bread (another favourite of mine), roasted brussel sprouts... Somehow, we found space to eat half of it, and subsequently dabao the other half to bring home as they kindly provided us with boxes (which I had for supper with Justin later)!


Haha and guess what, I've been to Sprmrkt before too!! Here's a review I did - once again, a much different experience since we were there to try their Dessert Bar - what a spread! Honestly I was so stuffed from being re-stuffed earlier that I couldn't eat much already. Somehow, I still found space for the champagne, heh.

A Mask-Have Staycation with Skin Inc

Got pampered to a staycation thanks to Skin Inc for the product launch of their new Facial-in-a-Flash Mask! I try not to use the word #Blessed a lot but I seriously felt that way post staycay, so I shall make an exception this time and say YES I FEEL SO BLESSED :D



Checked into Oakwood Studios (which just opened in March this year) for a little presentation and demonstration of the new masks, had champagne + a chill bouquet making session with Kiki Woods Florist and got a little time after to chill in our gorgeous rooms! I kinda dig how there is a vase in our apartment's kitchen so the peonies and lilies I selected could sit pretty for the rest of my stay, which also included having some guests come over at night (who devoured the snacks provided, ahem).

I used to be scared to show up for events alone but these days it's actually pretty chill because I feel you're more opening to speaking to new people which used to be something out of my comfort zone. It was nice to make new connections, particularly Rei (who was in the room just down the hall) and Cee!

So more about the Facial-in-a-Flask Masks! Firstly, the packaging already looks amazing and come in 3 different metallic colours - Black Gold (to calm and detox skin), Platinum (for brightening and radiance) and Rose Gold (for anti-aging and lifting). Each mask is enhanced with actual pure gold to boost the effects of potential antioxidants; and their USP is that when you purchase one mask at SGD17.00, and it comes in two halves: the top and the bottom.

Alternatively, you can purchase a pack of 3 masks (i.e. 3 tops, 3 bottoms) for SGD48.00 instead, which you can then mix and match the different colours for different skin concerns. For myself I tried on the Platinum for the top half of my face, and the Black Gold for the bottom half, cause #issues ok. Texture wise, it's a gel that kind of feels like... skin. But so much more premium than the usual face masks you buy in Korea! The masks together with the Optimizer Voyage Light to boost absorption (which by the way I freaking love my Optimizer Voyage Blue Light, it saved me from a disaster pimple scar last month). Use it on your face for 10-20 minutes and just... enjoy!

Question: Can I repeat this day all over again?

Sakura Season

How many pictures of flowers can one take?

I was feeling gross and under the weather just before meeting Sujin and Ryan for our double date to see to Gardens by the Bay, but there's nothing quite like walking around and literally stopping to smell the flowers to make one forget about any health impediments! I've been to Tokyo and Korea before but missed the Cherry Blossom season, so I'm glad we got to absorb some semblance of Spring here in Singapore by checking out the Sakura exhibit at the Flower Dome out - it was indeed the full experience - crowds included, haha.

Fun tourist tip: Buy and print your tickets online before coming down so that you don't have to queue up at the ticket booth outside (it was $12.00 for Singaporeans to just the Flower Dome)! Hence, we breezed past the insanely long line outside the dome cause ain't nobody got time for that. Though, haha, oops there were even more queues to the exhibit inside that no amount of pre-planning could skip, so we still had to do some form of lining up in the end anyway :'D

We unilaterally agreed our favourite was the white Sakuras (there are so many varieties and they all smell faintly like almonds!), took plenty of pictures because after a while they all look the same, and despite the people sea, I think the crowd was very well managed by the security guards (cause this is Singapore, duh).

I admit that I got so caught up, a few days later I bough sakura buns to eat for the first time. I've never eaten anything sakura flavoured before, #fact. Yes, almond taste / smell was there.
