Arbite for Owsky
Posted on Friday, March 29, 2013
I'm so backlogged on posts, but in a way it's a good thing because I'll always have something to blog about, especially during project season where any form of fun life bothers to present is non-existent. But on a happier note, three weeks more and I'm done with my second last semester in SMU!

Going back to last month where we met up to celebrate Mark Ow's (Owsky) birthday! Choice foodie hangout - Arbite, at Serangoon Gardens!

None of us have been to Arbite prior to this, so we decide to order whatever strikes our fancy, which was pretty hard because everything on the menu sounded pretty interesting. Hann Khee ordered the Eggs Benedict ($11.90++) and I poke a bite! It's decent, but one thing i can't stand is that they didn't even use parma ham. For eggs benny! Number one nono!
The birthday boy orders the Croque Madam ($15.90++) - what is described as a toasted foccacia sandwich with parma ham, brie and truffle mayo. Oh I love truffle! And I still don't understand why everything else can have proper parma ham except the eggs benny. I found this average too though - the truffle was hardly noticeable, and the portion doesn't look very filling for $15.90 (then again, it's still cheaper than other brunch places around Singapore)!
I almost always never order anything that doesn't have meat in it, but for some reason I felt like getting some cheesy, creamy, baked eggplant, which was my Moussaka ($16.90++). I always love eating Turkish cuisine, and I personally liked it a lot because it was piping hot, with my favourite mushrooms - and I totally wouldn't mind being vegetarian if I got to eat like this every day!
