Kenzoki De Jour

I've been wanting to try the food at Como Cuisine for a while but it's way more fun when the room came set up by the lovely ladies of Touch PR for our night with Kenzoki's (Kenzo's beauty arm). The team really outdid themselves this time with the super aesthetic table setting filled with white lotuses, paying homage to the same ingredients in their new launch - the Belle De Jour Dream Night Mask. It has a super fluffy texture and has a light floral smell, aiming to revitalise your skin as you sleep, and is personally, my very first night mask! Anyway, pictures here:

Dinner wise, I'd like to consider that day the day I decided I actually like chicken breast. The other option on the menu was beef (which I don't eat) so I was disappointed that I had to have chicken breast but this was done so, so well. Tender all the way through and just a faintest bit of pink in the middle.

We were also treated to smoked oyster at the start (very smokey, haha, sorry but that is literally what it should be and it succeeded); bread with jackfruit chutney (amazing and fruity with the essential chutney taste still); tuna tartare (aggressively seasoned with just the right zing); and lastly, the prettiest mango sticky rice I have ever eaten (and true to how a mango sticky rice should taste). Laveena chose the other strawberry dessert option, and I swear she side eyed my dessert the rest of the night HAHA.

I wish we could do more of these for events! Nothing like good food, free flow custom cocktails and a beautiful room to help you enjoy the middle of the week.

Spring, Again

Always excited to pop in for a new NARS launch but this time round I'm especially excited in particular for the launch of the Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation.



I've been need a good everyday foundation and this feels like it was built for me - long wearing of (and their first) 16-hour, sheer texture for breathability yet high coverage (!!) - and with a serum base as an added bonus.  Better yet, it comes in 33 different shades (compared to their All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation which has 20) for an even better match.


Brought this woman because she's been fangirling after NARS, haha.


Getting colour matched at the booth! I'm a creme brulee for the Creamy Concealer - which has 6 new shades added to it's line.


And their Spring launches! Going crazy over their Wanted Eyeshadow Palette - it's about time NARS has some red eyeshadows! And such a handy size too! If there is one thing I'd take from the whole Spring launch it's definitely this - so trendy, and the cover is so pretty too (oops didn't take a picture of it). It's suppose to launch some time in Feb but at the moment it is not available, so I'll be twiddling my thumbs till then!


More spring launches - their Liquid Blush (in that adorable frosted glass bottle) now comes in the shade Dolce Vita and notably a new range of liquid lippies, the NARS Lip Cover, which is full coverage and creamy with a little shimmer. The thing about lipsticks is you have to try them throughout the day to get a feel, so no comments on that area yet!


We got a demo on the before and after of the new foundation (as if I'm not excited enough already) and the glow is great - gimmeeeee.

Not sure if I love Christmas or the Lunar New Year more but I feel like each has its own merits.

January has passed by in the best kind of blur and I wish I could share more on this page in a faster way but sadly photos don't get edited just by staring at them!

If last year was about growth and making new connections, this year to me is about deepening them.

I love taking on many roles and hats in life (because there's just so much to be out there) but I'm also wary about stretching myself too thin and taking on too many commitments. And at the same time, I love it. I love doing everything and being everything. I can't settle and I can't stay still.
