To Justin - Love, Paris.

Taking film pictures with my Vivitar UWS makes me feel like my 17 year old dreamy self again. I can't believe these were already 2 years old before I finally got them developed - has Paris been that long ago??? I guess it felt like simpler times when we first got news that we got our BTO and since then travel has taken a bit of a back burner since we've had to be adults and save for the house. Now that we're collecting the keys next month it seems kind of appropriate that these finally be developed (I guess my brain subconsciously told me it was time).

So here they are, reminding us that we made it through the storm.

Golden Half Camera | Kodak Gold 400 Film

I write and write and write these days but most of the time I just backspace it and hide it from the world, or at least just for a few special people to see. Today I finally collected the roll of film from my Golden Half that I shot in Europe, and this picture struck me the most. The bevy of swans all heading in one direction, clustering around some magic invisible tree food, while one swan stands tall and regal, apart from it all. And then black. Cause the exposure screwed up. I can proudly say that this picture is unedited or, in "Instagram speak" #nofilter whatddup. Actually I never understood why people were proud of their #nofilter photos because they are usually #plain or #actuallyneedfilters, but I guess I know why now.

Don't mind me, I'm feeling critical today.

On a separate note, as of two days ago, this blog hit 10,000 page views since it first opened in Mid October 2012! I did a little dance in my chair though I don't really know why.

Girls Night Out!

So I haven't had a proper girl's night out with the lovely Jessica for a while, and we had a much needed catch up! I think we were both at a very complex and complicated stage of our lives and it's great to have that friend who knows exactly how you feel and you can say things like "RIGHT? Why doesn't anyone see it the way we do?" We ended up at Barossa for pizza and beer, even though i really wanted the Truffle Mac n Cheese at Overeasy but the place was way too crowded (2 hours for the next table???) but it was still a great place to chill because we sat there for forever and the staff never tried to chase us away!
