I'm pretty lucky to have an Orientation group that is still really tight knit and tutors that are super ON about showing us the German way of life! Here we are at Cannstatter Wasen, which is Stuttgart's pocket friendly, less crowded version of Oktoberfest that most non-Germans probably don't know about (I didn't), and happens during the same period as Oktoberfest. We took an hour's journey from Karlsruhe down since our tutors Tanja and Julius kindly reserved us a table for the whole bunch of us! We also went on a Tuesday so it wasn't THAT crowded, plus it's a special student's day, which means we get to score from student discounts, whoop! I paid about 10 euros for one mug of beer in Oktoberfest, and 11 euros here for two mugs including a very generous tip to the waitress (we learnt that we must tip generously at the start so that they will continue to serve us drunkards happily and willingly for the rest of the evening!) We arrived at 12pm and by about 7pm I was pretty much done for the night. Don't know where everyone gets their stamina from!!!
