I finished all the artwork for this Lookbook in less than 4 hours in the middle of the night and for some reason I thought it would be interesting to save the progress at different stages for you guys to see how the layers were built up. It's a photoshoot of firsts for me - my first time doing studio work and my first time playing around with mixed media and really blending the elements of reality and visual art by making it seem like her hair and clothes were art too. Heh. Anyway it's really great working with models who are also fans of the brand - it always means a lot more too! I believe Miaowen was in the middle of hell week 13 in SMU but she still found the time to come down to shoot for The Ordinary Co which is super heartwarming.
Got a bit of mixed response regarding the lookbook and I personally feel I went a bit too girly with the styling and artwork (my only regret) so I'm looking to reel it in a bit more to return to our "ordinary" roots for our xmas shoot. Why yes, I had to sit down and plan every single shoot date to hit every single occasion all the way till Valentine's Day. It's hard not to feel overwhelmed but at least with a proper timeline you'll have something to treat your eyes to every season ;)
