Cat Cafe - Neko No Niwa
Posted on Thursday, March 5, 2015
Just a rainy December afternoon spent in the furry company of new cat friends (and E-main)! For a little while I would pester Justin non-stop to promise that we will get a cat of our own, till I read this little fact about cats online that kind of turned me off ever being an owner, haha. But I will do you a favour and not share it with you.

Neko no Niwa is the first cat cafe in Singapore and a great starting point if you are thinking of becoming a cat owner or are just cat crazy but don't want the responsibility of taking care of one. The cafe was really clean, peaceful and brightly lit. We came around 5pm - which is the time when a lot of cats take their naps, so not the best if you really want to interact with them, though some of the cats were awake, like this grey tabby that seriously loved taking a rest on my maxi dress (so I couldn't move for a good while).
We talked to cat carer, Sam, who shared with us a lot about cats and I knew so much he even thought I owned one of my own :'D We were so busy disturbing them felines to really eat our food, but the sponge cake we had above was nubbad (very japanese)! There was also this mysteriously adorable cat-sized secret pathway that leads to the litter box in which the cats would disappear into to take a wee, hehe. Look out for it when you are there!
Entrance to the cafe is $12.00 for the first hour and an addition $5.00 for every subsequent half hour block. Personally, an hour was just about enough.
