Hair Spa at J's Salon

Posted on Sunday, November 25, 2018

So I've been to J's Salon a few times before on my own, but sharing is caring right! This time the team kindly let me bring along dear Laveena for some girly spa time (cause goodness knows we hardly see each other in the day, hahaha).

Got our hair treated and pampered at the highest level of luxury one could ever hope for, and I have been so thoroughly spoilt to the point where I get kinda snobby when I go to other spas cause nowhere has as much attention to detail as J's!

Their Deluxe Garden Suite is E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. I will never, ever tire of how peaceful and tranquil it is with it's plush chairs, soothing sounds of the fountain trickling in the background, and the delicious smell of Kerastase products... all whilst overlooking the Singapore River!

But first! We got our scalp and hair condition diagnosed so that our treatment could be specially tailored to our needs. Was very honored to have salon director herself, June, who is also a certified trichologist, to take an in-depth look into both our hair and scalp condition.

For me, I have a sensitive scalp, so I was given the Kerastase Specifique anti-pelluclaire treatment and their Aura Botanica range for my damaged hair (it's organic!) to nourish and tame the frizz.

Changed into our tube dresses and fluffy robes, and then it was treatment time!

Today we did the Trichology Therapy (price list of all their hair services can be found here) which is about 2 hours and 15 minutes long. Started off with a chill foot massage, followed by a super relaxing neck and shoulder massages (there's something about the oils they use which are sooo intoxicating!)

Also had an endless supply of addictive snacks + their signature red date tea (which also is my favourite) - it's so homely and nostalgic. Must, must order this if you come down! I think I had something like 4 cups, not kidding.

Hair was shampooed, treatment rubbed in and deeply massaged with all the goodness of Kerastase products and then more (!!) massages while it was getting washed. I really can never get enough of them massages - and judging by Lavee's blissed out face, neither could she (I've also had my fair share of not-so-great massages while overseas and I can tell you that these are indeed well done and we were in very good hands!)

Apparently some ladies book out the entire salon for their Hen's Nights where it begins with a spa and ends up with everyone getting a fabulous blow-out, along with champagne and food that can be set up in the salon space outside the Deluxe Garden Suite. That sounds like a bloody good idea - anyone else agree??

Getting our hair steamed so that all the goodness of the treatments can be absorbed.

So blessed to be able to leave behind our bustling urban lives for just a little bit and enjoy this sanctuary. We got our hair blown out to peak softness and shininess and left the salon in slow motion like one of those hair ads, hahaha. Always sad to head back into the outside world, but it was amazing while it lasted!

Thanks to the team at J's Salon for having me again!!! You guys can quote my name "MONICA" at the salon always for $50.00 off any of their hair treatments - if you do head down please let me know how your experience was! I'd love to know!
