Oz Speciality Cafe

We learn in business school that location is everything, so I'd say it was a good move on Oz Speciality Cafe's part to change their location and shop name to the newly opened Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters (such a lovely space which, yes, I have already visited and will blog about soon!)

Old photos from a relaxing afternoon with the girls again - we have the Salted Caramel Banana Waffle which is decent, but i'm sorry because no waffle in Singapore will ever be anything more than decent for me after having eaten the real shiz in Belgium. They know how to do waffles. But yeah, decent. We also get a free latte from the nice service staff which they really didn't have to (yay) and just do regular girly catch up because we rarely have time to meet up as a group!

Shall not give the address for this place since it is closed, haha.

I'm a bit of a control freak when it comes to all things TOC. Fun fact: this is only the second time I've let anyone besides myself shoot for the brand (the first time was for this shoot with Nicolette) and honestly it always makes me hella nervous letting loose of the reigns until everything has launched and then I can breathe a sigh of relief that the brand is still intact and everything looks great.

The styling is a little more chic than what you'd see in the actual CBD of Singapore, but I'd like to think it's still believable. The one thing that guides me when conceptualising all the Lookbooks for TOC is to keep that element of reality - that when people see the photos, they feel like they could be these Ordinary Girls.

Anyway, it was nice to catch up with Beatrice again after so many years out of contact (I've known her on-and-off since Kindergarten, wow!) and to hear about all the fun and exciting things she's doing now. I always remember her as being one of the few girls in secondary school who was actually nice to me despite my crazy-whacko-slash-and-burn-everyone-in-the-way self back then.

I'd like to say I've changed in many ways and also not changed at all, but I guess if we care less about who we were and focused on who we'd want to be, we'd get a lot more things done.

Damn, I'm deep.

Rework

It's been a trying week or so. Sometimes the people you care for the most take you for granted and the people you take for granted care for you the most and maybe your world's been upside down and you just didn't know it. But that said, I'm pretty happy with every other aspect of my life at the moment, so that's good, right?
